James A. Wheat & Sons, Inc. is a family owned and operated business.   James and Barbara Wheat opened the doors in 1972 with one plumbing service truck.  Over the years residential plumbing, heating, and air conditioning became the primary services.  Bathroom remodeling was added as requested by our customers for our quality work.  Work in larger volumes came rolling in.  Gas Fireplaces have only become popular within the last ten years.  With the technological advancement of realistic gas burning products, our customers were in need of a qualified gas contractor.  Our staff is now gas fireplace certified by our vendors. 

The immediate family, Jimmy, Barbara, Michael, and Jeffrey have been working together since the start of the business.  Every member of the family holds a master license or more (yes, including Barbara!).  Jimmy and Barbara are both still active, however, their main objective is to keep the company directed towards its major goal of satisfying the customer's needs.  Michael and Jeffrey run daily operations and have learned the meaning of customer service from their parents. 

There is no way we could be the best company in town without our mechanics and technicians.  Service, installation, or remodeling, the men are the backbone of the company.  We hire drug-free, honest and hard working employees that  feel proud of the work they perform.  These are characteristics that we cannot teach.  Our men and women, from the master licensed to the apprentice, are continually trained and re-certified to keep up with changes in the industry.  Our mechanics are the reason we feel that James A. Wheat & Sons, Inc. is the best.  Our mechanics are the best, period.

These are the friendly, helpful people that answer the phones, do the accounting, and office chores that keep the business operating.  They are the unsung heroes that never get to meet the people they help.  Customer satisfaction and service is their primary goal.
