Providing service for our servicemen two years in a row

Posted on: April 5, 2013

James A. Wheat & Sons is proud to be taking part in the Air Conditioning Contractors of America National Capital Chapter’s (ACCA – NCC) Service for Our Servicemen campaign for the second year in a row. Between Monday, April 8th and Saturday, April 13, contractors throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan area will partner up with USO to provide top quality air conditioning inspections for military members—absolutely free of charge!

We will be contributing the time of four of our expert HVAC technicians to help serve those who lay their lives on the line for our country and freedom every day. The candidates for service are any active or retired military personnel who are the owners and occupants of a property that requires an air conditioning inspection and cleaning. The Service for Our Servicemen campaign is designed specifically to help those who find themselves in a financial situation which might make it difficult to pay for service.

The Importance of AC Maintenance for Everyone

One of the reasons we’re proud to be taking part in the Service for Our Servicemen project is because of how important air conditioning maintenance is for every home. We’ll be able to provide peace of mind for the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces that their system should run smoothly throughout the course of the season. When routine AC maintenance is performed, it can provide a number of benefits, including:

  • Improved energy efficiency
  • Lowered money utility bills
  • Improved indoor air quality
  • Enhanced system performance
  • Increased overall home comfort
  • Reduced likelihood of breakdowns
  • And more!
