HVAC Service Technician

We have an immediate opening for experienced HVAC service technicians in the Maryland & Washington, DC area. We offer great pay, insurance options, bonuses, and commissions. We are a drug-free company and require background checks prior to employment. To qualify for this position, applicants must:

  • Have 5 to 7 years of HVAC experience
  • Be able to troubleshoot and correct diverse HVAC service issues

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This technician performs field activities associated with maintaining and servicing plumbing fixtures, water heaters, gas fireplaces, etc. for Residential customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration.
  • Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, and able to communicate and troubleshoot over the phone with the Operations manager.
  • Utilizes experience and technical skills with preventative maintenance and system operations to determine service needs.
  • Advises owner of residence and Manager of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Works in a team environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Moderate lifting (up to 90 lbs).
  • Complete pre-employment drug test and background check process.
  • Technical knowledge to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to navigate through computers and tablets.
  • Ability to work independently and be self motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
  • Periodically “on-call’ for service coverage weekends and nights.
  • Local travel required.
  • Plumbing experience: 3 years (Preferred).

  • Handling inbound customer inquiries via phone call and email.
  • Screening, qualifying and scheduling appointments for our service technicians and outside sales team.
  • Ensuring the accurate capture, data entry and maintenance of customer information within our database.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Calling customers to confirm appointments and schedules as necessary.
  • Professionally handle high volume inbound/outbound customer inquires.
  • Working closely with the Service and Installation Managers to coordinate scheduling and appointments.
  • Be familiar with our company, products and services so many questions can be answered without consulting others.
  • Efficiently manage his or her time and schedules.

  • Ability to work Saturdays and few days in the week.
